Fr.Daniel Sysoev was murdered on November 19^th in the church in Moscow while preparing to listen to confessions. The murderer came inside the church, called out priest’s name and when o.Daniel came out, he shut him in the head and chest.

o.Daniel received several threats in the past. On one of the blogs he posted a note that he got the 14^th one beginning October.

o.Daniel was famous for his missionary work especially amongst muslims. He was one of the “less politically correct” priests there are in Moscow. Orthodox community in Moscow side with the theory that the murderer was a muslim. Official investigation though claims that most likely the murder was done by so called “neo-pegans”…
