Prayer of Faith
For verily I say unto you, If ye hath faith as a grain
of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain,
Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove;
and nothing shall be impossible unto you (Mt.17, 20)
Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are (James 5, 17) but by his prayer “the heaven gave grain, and the earth brought forth her fruit” (James 5, 18). This flaming, unceasing prayer, this persistence in it, is an example for all of us. Nobody can say that he does not know how to pray.
Elias was like us, his bravery is possible for us too, his faith, his firm, unshakable hope can be ours too. The weakest of us, the most insignificant, can burst out with unshakable faith and, having accepted this greatest gift in his heart, will move the mountains, reach unreachable!
Let us all pray in complete humbleness and strength that will concur the
Let us not forget this, let us learn to pray like Elias. And as an answer to a reinforced prayer even the driest heart, the most fruitless land, watered with a stream of grace from above, will restore to a new life and bring forth fruits hundredfold.
