God Will Provide Bread of Life
But be not thou far from me, O LORD:
O my strength, haste thee to help me (Ps.21, 20)
Savior! I come to You not because I can bring a strong unshakable faith, heart full of hope and humility. No! I come to you because I have nothing, because I grew poor. I suffer hunger and thirst, and only You can provide me bread of life in abundance and let me drink of a spring of waters of life.
Lord! I can bring you nothing except for a humble heart, which I lay down by Your feet. In horrible hours of loneliness I call for You from the depth of my soul. I know You want to save me from abyss of doubt and sin, where I sunk in. And You are inviting me to Your wedding feast. Yes, even though I am poor and crippled, I know that God wants to dress me in bright gown, turn my poverty into everlasting treasure and crown my infirmity with eternal glory. He is the only One powerful to destroy all evil in my soul, and lighten my darkness with His light, fill my emptiness with abundance of His grace.
