Our Salvation is in the Lord

And he shall bring down their pride together with the spoils of their hands.

O Lord! Thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name;

for thou hast done wonderful things (Is.25, 11, 1)

One rich and aristocratic woman, 30 y.o., died last century (in 1800’s – TR) in Germany, who up until her very death was strongly rejecting every possibility of life after death. Therefore she willed that her tomb be covered with a heavy granite slab and surrounded by a massive rock wall enforced with thick iron. The wish was granted and this note was placed on the tomb: “This place of burial, acquired for eternity, must remain untouched for ever. It is strictly forbidden to open the grave at any time”. So, even being in her grave, she was challenging the Almighty.

However a small seed, that got under the tomb, sprouted and pushed its way thought the rocks to the surface. Little by little the roots spread all across that place and a strong tree grew up on the place of the tomb. The strong roots gained a great power, shook the walls and the tomb was uncovered. Life prevailed there ,where everything was sentenced to death. A tall oak stands there, where a tomb of unfaithful used to be, being a silent witness of truth and clear refute of disbelief of the dead one.

Simple people of that area look at that monument with a superstitious horror. It is true that no rock and no obstacle will cover us from the righteous judgment of God. At the last day every one of us will stand in from of Him and then our salvation will be only in Christ.

The Lamb will judge us all – the Holy Lamb, Who will appear in all His glory. Christ Himself will save us from the wrath of God. No matter how much people  would try to refute  the truth of God by their disbelief or by anything else, the time will come, when He announces Himself irrefutably; the hour will come when all the voices will silence before Him and every unfaithful soul will have to venerate Him.
