Where the Help Comes From

I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded

that he is able to keep that which I have committed

unto him against that day (2 Tim.1, 12)

When we are oppressed by worries about someone very dear to us, who we are far away from or whom we can not help, - let us commit them, with full faith, to the One, Who we believe in, - Him, Who will keep our promise incomparably better.

So often in life we suffer from our inability to help, ease somehow a hard life of our neighbor. Even our prayer gets weaker and we feel completely powerless when we seem to be ready to sacrifice our life just to help them. In those minutes, let us remember where the help and consolation comes from. Our friend is not alone, he is being protected by the One, Whose hand is always strong enough to help, support and revive the perishing one; Who will not abandon a lost sheep but will always bring it to a good pasture.

This assurance of Apostle should come to us and support our weakening faith. Everything that is most precious to us, that what we constantly fuss over, let us pass straight to the hands of the Lord and He will give us peace instead and keep our token until the danger passes.
