Day-by-Day. September 11th (August 29th)
We Will Win if We Pray
Continue in prayer, and watch in the same
with thanksgiving (Col.4, 2)
To be able to follow the example of the Savior and live by His word, we must listen to His voice in our soul, the Voice of Holy Spirit within us.
God often calls us through His Spirit, comforts us, and revives us. Only Holy Spirit can teach us true and cordial humility, live faith and undisturbed peace. In continuous close unity with Christ we learn to love, in Him we see the vanity of earthly happiness, in Him the wondrous treasures of spiritual comfort are revealed to us.

By following His directions we follow Christ Himself; in Him is the true life! Blessed is the soul that muffles all earthly sounds within itself just to hear only His divine voice. Blessed is the one, who listens to this voice and sees how “merciful is the Lord”. Blessed are those who learned to live internal, spiritual life, who learned to pray! Prayer – is the source for everything, and we turn to it all the time; all the power is in it; everything is based on it; and we will come to it again and again.
Let us continue in prayer and all the obstacles, all the darkness surrounding us, will disappear. Let us pray and Christ Himself will teach us to follow Him, bear our cross, and reject ourselves. When we become His true and faithful disciples, we will pray and we will win! Lord, receive our hearts, which are calling to You, cleanse them, unworthy, by Your mercy, devote them to You and teach us to believe in You only, to love You, and put our hope in You only. And let Your words be printed in our hearts: “Who wants to follow Me, reject yourself, take your cross and follow Me”.
