Food for Soul
Great peace have they which love Thy law:
and nothing shall offend them (Ps.118, 165)
We obtain peace in our soul by studying the Word of God. Look at those, who base their life on the Word of God, and you will see that they possess an undisturbed peace. But those of us, who do not come to this life giving source, are easily disturbed at the first temptation and the peace of our soul disappears momentarily.
It is amazing to see sometimes to what extend some people loose their balance. Any unthoughtful word, said by someone, can easily take their peace away. But nothing can take the peace away from those, who really possess it! It comes from the highest source and is given by Christ Himself, Who said: “Blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in Me” (Mt.11, 6)

There’s nothing that will offend the one, who is nourished with this spiritual food, who comes in prayer to this divine life giving source. This kind of man is growing every day in a constant labor in the fields of the Lord. Those, who do not feel the need in this live Word, who don’t study the Holy Scripture, are easily tempted and offended. Most of them say that they did not find what they expected in the teaching of Christ, but they would’ve found even more than what they expected if they were even trying to comprehend the deep meaning of the Word of God. They are so far from the Lord that their soul is starving and thirsty without the real food. It is getting weaker and can not resist. We feed our flesh daily, the flesh that will go dust to dust and decay, but we neglect to feed our internal being, our live and eternal soul, leaving it without food and let it starve to death.
