Undeserved Mercy

The God of all grace (1 Pet.5, 10)

We find another name of our Lord in these words. We see a lot of names of God in the Holy Scripture. He is the God of peace, God of hope, God of every comfort; and here, the Apostle calls Him the God of “all grace”. This defines every hope of ours. “God is able to make all grace abound toward you” (2 Cor.9, 8).

We are required to submit to His will, lay our hope on His love and mercy to always be able to abide by the source of His endless, constant and ever victorious grace. No one will know what grace is , until we learn to rely on ever forgiving love of the Lord in Christ Jesus.

Grace is an undeserved mercy, by which we receive what we are not worthy of. It exceeds every benefit and saves us despite out short comings. It also responds to every of our needs and fills in every void.

Grace of God works in us not only when we, burdened by sin and sorrow, come to Him for the first time, but during all of our life. Every hour of our life, when we, revived and in peace, are waking enlightened by His Image, like members of the great family of our Heavenly Father, He pours grace on us abundantly so that we “may abound to every good work” (2 Cor.9, 8)
